1984
Bedege was founded in 1984, several years before the Internet was used by the public, by a handful of entrepreneurs with a common vision under the incredibly trendy name "Butiksdatagården" at the time. It is from the name Butiksdatagården that the letters B, D, and G originate, which later became the company name Bedege.
JC, MQ, Hemtex, and Pressbyrån were among the first customers.
1987-1988
In connection with the company's largest transaction to date, the sale of the first PC-based system to OK's (now OKQ8) all petrol stations, Bedege is acquired by OK and becomes part of the OK group.
Bedege still retains its stable ownership and is owned 86.9% by OK Economic Association and 13.1% by other OK associations.
1998
Bedege makes the decision to start working with and promoting Navision (a predecessor to the current Dynamics 365 Business Central). This decision is based on the market's demand for integrated systems that can minimize duplicate work, as well as systems where version management and upgrades follow the same model so that the system is synchronized.
The goal to be a total provider in the "From checkout to financial statements" functionalities is set.
1999-2003
Bedege continues to work and mainly focuses on two major business areas.
One is the exchange of technical hardware in retail/office environments where Bedege manages logistics and repairs of devices, program loading, and version control quickly and efficiently. Overall, it currently involves approximately 18,000 units across the country.
The other area is the implementation of advanced business systems where the new Navision-based solution has contributed to having customers such as Ur&Penn, Naturapoteket (later the Life chain), Pocket Shop, and Konsum at this time.
2008
Bedege was among the first to integrate the system with an e-commerce platform, completing the first project as early as 2008.
Today, virtually all of Bedege's customers have integrations with their e-commerce platforms, and the system is well-suited for customers with a Unified Commerce or Omnichannel strategy, thanks to the ability to achieve seamlessness between different parts of the customer's system architecture.
2010
Bedege is getting a new CEO and embarking on a transformation journey. This journey results in a greater focus on long-term management after project implementation. The aim is to be the partner with whom the client's organisation can grow, change, and develop over time.
2022-2023
In 2022, the first project begins with a SaaS version of the solution, and Bedege once again leads the way into the future together with our customers.
The following year, the customer's CIO is invited to Athens to present the project at the annual conference LS ConneXion, where customers and partners of LS Retail from around the world gather to share experiences.
With the SaaS version of the solution, the customer is always on the latest version and has access to the newest functionalities as the solution is updated regularly.
Bedege is actively working to develop our management practices for our SaaS customers with a constant improvement of methods and workflows for testing integrations and updated solutions.
